The sun at midnight

The light was incredible on the Seltjarnarnes peninsula last night. Behind me, as I took this picture, was a full, unbroken rainbow. Magic.

When I took this photo, a thick cover of cloud was just moving in, absorbing the bright orange of the sunset and reflecting it back onto the water and the land. Today it is overcast with moderate, variable winds, and temps are set to reach a high of 23°C in the northeast. Right now it is 12°C in the capital. The sun came up at 03.03 and will go down at 23.52.
